Introduction: Mizan-Tepi University (MTU) is one of the higher education
institutions in Ethiopia located in the South Western part of the country in the
evergreen environment of Bench Sheko and Sheka Zones with an attractive
Biosphere.
The University has three campuses in which the main campus is found in
Mizan-Aman city; 565 km from Addis Ababa; and other campuses are in Tepi
city and Aman town 52 km and 3km from the main campus respectively.
It was established in 2006/07 with the general objectives of making access to
higher education through fostering teaching-learning practices towards
producing competent graduates, carrying out need-based and problem-solving
research, and providing community services that contribute to the development
endeavors at national and regional levels.
MTU is an institution that has organized itself into 6 colleges and 5 schools with
a total of 51 undergraduate and 38 postgraduate programs.
